Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 17, 2026

This policy covers thelongercrowbar.com, run by Andrew "Easy" Anderson ("we," "us"). The short version: this is a free site full of lessons, stories, videos, and music. We collect the least we can and we do not sell anyone's information.

What this site collects

Email signup. If you subscribe, we collect the email address you enter so we can send you new lessons, stories, and music. The list is kept in Brevo, our email service, and you can unsubscribe from any email with one click. We never add you to the list without you asking.

Contact form. If you use the Contact page, we collect your name, email address, your message, and (only if you choose to give it) a mobile number, so we can reply. We do not collect payment information through this site.

AI chat assistant. The chat bubble in the corner is our own iQ Chat Widget. It answers questions from what is published on this site. When you type a message, that message, the conversation so far, and basic technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) are sent to our widget server and then to Anthropic, the AI company whose model writes the reply, under Anthropic's commercial terms, which do not allow your messages to be used to train their models. Conversations are stored on our widget server so we can review how well the assistant is doing and fix bad answers. Do not type passwords, payment details, or health information into the chat. If you share your name or email address in a chat because you want us to follow up, we use it only for that. The chat sets no cookies; see the Cookie Policy for the two small session values it keeps in your browser.

Technical data. Like nearly every website, our hosting (Cloudflare) automatically processes request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested in order to serve the site securely and reliably. We use this only in aggregate to keep the site running.

Cookies. What we set, and what we ask before setting, is spelled out on the Cookie Policy page. You can change your choices any time from the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

Embedded videos and outside links

Many lessons include a YouTube video. The video does not load until you choose to play it or you have allowed "Marketing and embedded content" in Cookie Settings, and we use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player. Once a video plays, Google's privacy policy governs what YouTube collects. Links to products, services, and other sites lead to places with their own policies; some are affiliate links, explained on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.

We do not run third-party advertising networks or ad trackers on this site.

We only email people who asked for it, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

Your privacy choices

You can unsubscribe from email at any time, ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by using the Contact page. California residents may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; we do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right is yours and we honor it.

Text messages

If you give us a mobile number on the contact form, we may call or text you back about your message. Every conversation is one you started. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to end it; reply HELP or use the Contact page for help. Your mobile number is never sold or shared with anyone for marketing. Giving a number is optional and never a condition of anything.

Children's privacy

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, this page and the effective date above will be updated before the new practice starts.
