Carbs Cause Wrinkles Through Glycination
Do Carbs Cause Wrinkles? Let's Talk Glycation! 🥩🍳
Four eggs, thinly sliced ribeye, butter, and a little bacon grease.
That's my kind of fall breakfast!
Simple, satisfying, and easy to throw together.
I've been a big believer in keto and carnivore eating, and one of the reasons I'm interested in low-carb nutrition is something called glycation.
Glycation is a process where sugars react with proteins and other molecules in the body. Over time, the resulting advanced glycation end products, or AGEs, can contribute to changes in collagen and skin aging.
And that raises an interesting question.
Could what we eat influence how our skin ages?
I certainly have my opinions about carbohydrates, metabolic health, and how we fuel our bodies.
But nutrition is complicated, and everyone's needs are different.
For me, keeping breakfast simple and focusing on foods I enjoy has worked well.
No complicated recipe.
No fancy ingredients.
Just ribeye and eggs!
Are you eating keto, carnivore, low-carb, or something completely different?
And have you ever heard of glycation?
