Quality Construction Does Not Use OSB
So, I want to talk about quality materials in construction, and this is a perfect example. So, this is particle board, or they call it sheathing, right? But the structure of this was built with actual plywood, okay? There is such a huge difference if you're gonna spend any money on anything that you want it to last.
Plywood is about, I don't know, I wouldn't even compare it, maybe 200% or 300% better. The problem with it is with the particle board, as we call it, or OSB. When it gets moisture, and as it gets older, if you've ever seen your countertops, they get puffy, and they don't hold their structural integrity as well.
And I know that there's a whole bunch of arguments against it, but it's not true. This uses a natural bonding in wood and I've done tear offs before. It is 10X harder to tear off plywood than it is particle board. So, that's it. See ya.
