hey there today I am going to talk to you about this subject. God is in trouble with you, man. What do you mean? God is in trouble with you, God is in trouble with you. That is unless you’re not in trouble with God. If so, if you’re if you’re in trouble with God, God’s not in trouble with you. But if you’re if you are not in trouble with God, God’s in trouble with you. What does that even mean? Sounds like a tongue twister, doesn’t it? But it’s not. It’s the Bible. Watch this. Here’s what it says. Psalms chapter 50. Psalm chapter 46. And verse number one, here’s what it says, God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear though the earth be removed until the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, the waters there a roar and be troubled that the mountain shake with the swelling thereof. There is a river the streams were up, she’ll make glad the city of God, the holy place for the tabernacle is the Most High. God is in the midst of her and she shall not be moved

Be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth, the Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. When I say God is in trouble with you. That doesn’t mean he’s in trouble with you, like your children get in trouble with you. It means if you are in Christ, when you are in trouble, you are not in that trouble by yourself. God is in that trouble with you. Here’s one says, God is our refuge and our strength. The first thing I want you to see in this verse is that God is God is first and foremost, God is positive, in trouble with you. It says God is our refuge in our strength. It didn’t say God might be a refuge in our strength, God’s probably our refuge in our strength. Every now and then God is our refuge, and says God is our refuge and our strength. In fact, we could just end the statement with this God is like, and then go sit down. Because God is that positive. And if God’s positive in trouble with you, you don’t need to be negative and trouble with you. Because it’s really interesting. You gotta read Mark cat before there’s a story, Jesus says to His disciples, let’s pass over to the other side, it gets to the boat. It’s really interesting, too. Because there’s two sides, there was the side. Like, geographically there was the side of the Sea of Galilee.

That was where the Israelites were. And there was the other side of the Galilee, Sea of Galilee, where the enemies of the Israelites were, and the pagan worship and all that stuff was being done. She said, Let’s pass over to the other side. And they get on the boat with him. And the scripture says that a great storm arose and the winds and the waves beat into the ship. So the ship was now full. And it says, this is this is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen in my life. It says, And Jesus was in the hinder part of the ship asleep on a pillow. I know I ain’t just gonna, I’m gonna go to sleep on a pillow. Why? Because God is so positive in trouble with you that he’s both calm. He’s asleep. And he’s comfortable. He’s on a pillow. God is positive and troubled you like some people think I’m Pollyanna and I Joe Marin’s just always positive, positive. I’m aware. I’m aware of the fact that no matter how big the trouble is, God is bigger than the trouble. Do you understand that David was more aware of God than he wasn’t Goliath. Everybody else is more aware of Goliath than they were of God. See, your problem is not that you have a problem.

Your problem is that you are hyper focused on the problem and you’re more aware of the problem than you are the God who’s positive in the problem with you. God is Most God’s most I want you to march into, into Pharaoh’s office and tell him I said, Let my people go and Moses was a stutter. Go down, go down. Pharaoh said Let my people go. Me. Tell him you sent me. And I, every time I read that, I’m like, Dude, what kind of question is that? Like I wanted to, if I was there, I’d want to coach Moses. Right, Moses, bro, that’s not the question. Who should I say I sent you that didn’t when I would ask. See. I’m very skeptical by nature. Right? So I would have asked a question. Like I said most here’s what you ask. What can I tell Pharaoh you said you gonna do if he say no, that’s what I’d say. Right? But most understood something I didn’t understand. And that is this. That authority is always an alignment issue. Right? And so Who shall I say has sent me is a better question and what can I say he’s and then and then God said, I am that I am what the question the answer made listens to the question to me. I am that I am just a bit like I am that I am what does that mean? Who wants to put the moon in the sun in the heavens? I Am that I Am.

Tell him I sent you. And he might be the greatest king on Earth. But I am the greatest king above the earth. So when you’re in trouble, and you’re in Christ, no, you ain’t in that trouble by yourself. Because Jesus law I am with you always. even unto the end of the age. Hey, what what am I saying? I’m saying I’m never in trouble by myself. God is in trouble with me. And when he’s there, he’s positive. And since he’s positive, I’m gonna be positive. I’m gonna look at his face. When he started looking worried, I’m gonna start looking worse.

Here’s what the scripture says that will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on me. The problem is, your focus is off. You thought the situation was off. The situation is just a situation. And every obstacle you will ever face is an opportunity for you to exercise your faith. And so you can stumble on it or step on it. You can stumble down or step up. But God is positive and trouble with you. Now, here’s what it says. It says God is our refuge. So God’s not just positive in trouble with you, but God is personal. In trouble with you, I am so glad I don’t just serve the God of my mother, or the God of my father, or the God of my ancestors, or the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I’ve never met Abraham, Isaac or Jacob. God is personal to me. I’m talking about a God when I talk to him, he hears me, I’m talking about a God when I’m in pain, he, he comforts me. And God gives me peace in my pain. And the peace can be greater than the pain. And it doesn’t matter how great the pain is. It’s I’m a bad guy. He’s personal. And by the way, I don’t mean kind of sort of almost livid, maybe perfectly personal. I mean, he’s our refuge and our strength.

Guess what I am a part of our I am a part of we got his personal in trouble with you. I’m so glad that I don’t say yeah, God is God is far away. But he’s also up close, because he’s everywhere. Can’t go anywhere where you’re in His presence. You can go somewhere where you’re not aware of his presence. But you can’t go anywhere where he’s not present. He’s personal to me. I remember so many times in my life. times now. But times at the beginning of my Christian journey. When I started walking with God, like when I after I came to Christ, I can remember so many times that God showed up and just did things that were seemingly impossible. I remember when my mother was in the hospital with cancer. And she was like on her deathbed. And I’m a teenager, and I’m crying out to God and crying because it’s my mom. And like, it did not look good. I mean, it didn’t look good at all. And she came out of it and live for decades. God has personal interest with you. I remember one time I was in I was in college. I broke as a joke and ready to choke. I mean, I was broke. I was pitiful for I was so poor, poor people felt sorry for me. And I remember, I remember just saying, Lord, You know what, I sure wish I had some money just for an ice cream. I walked in the restroom, came out of the restroom. Somebody just pressed something in my hands. And here God told me to give you this. It was $3 that was that’s $3.

That’s $3 meant more to me than a lot of millions that have made sense. Because God was showing me he cared enough about his child to buy him an ice cream cone. I’m talking about personal. I’m talking about personal God is our refuge and our strength. Oh, he’s our refuge. He’s our protection. In trouble with us, God is protective. In short with you how protective is God? So it’s really interesting. I love the fact that God cannot lie, but he still gets to make up the rules. That awesome. Like, they like God is not bound by the laws of physics, the laws of physics are bound by God. I love the fact that the Bible has three different types of fire now, I’ve only experienced one type of fire. That’s the kind of burns but there’s three types of fire in the Bible. So y’all remember the story about Moses, right? We talked about Moses a few minutes ago, and, and Moses is over there, and he’s tended to the sheep and maybe he’s taken some some burrows out of the sheep’s fur, and the sheep sees the fire before Moses does the chiefs. Moses fire. Okay, that probably probably didn’t happen. Okay. Okay, but Moses sees a burning bush. But you don’t see no smoke. This is odd.

The Bush is on fire. But the bush is not consumed. That’s called fire. That don’t burn. I mean, I’m tracking by a number. Okay, that’s cool. Well, Elijah, this is a different kind of fire. Elijah pronounce judgment on the king of Samaria. The king of Samaria sent 51. Ancient GI Joes you go tell Elijah, I said, come down. And they went and said, fitness 51 Soldier, Eliza’s preacher, Elijah the care said, come down. Elijah said, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and consumed via my 50. And fire came down from heaven and consumed in him and his 50 Only one person was left. That person was only left so they can go back and tell the kid you’re mad. We delivered your message. But it didn’t go how we plan. We had swords and hand bows drawn and we told Elijah you say come down and he called down fire and it burned up 50 of the 51 you said now the king didn’t understand he didn’t get it. So he said why just send 51 more. He said 51 more. The second dude says a Elijah gotta say Come down quickly. Oh, yawning good. Okay, cool. Watch this. If I’d be a man of God, let fire come down and consume you and you’ll fit the fire came down from heaven consume news. fire that burns so we got fire over here with Moses number we got fire with Elijah burns. Wouldn’t it be awesome if in the United States of America and other places in the world, we have men of God who are willing to stand for truth in the face of wrong in the face of evil, regardless of government consequences. I wish I had some help in here. The reason they want to silence the voices of righteousness is so the only voices in our children’s ears are the voices of evil. That is another fire. Now this is the most unusual fire in the whole Bible. Because King Nebuchadnezzar, that’s interesting, King Nebuchadnezzar, all these stories are about kings and men of God. Nebuchadnezzar builds an idol to himself. And then he has a concert. He says, what here’s what we’re gonna do. I’m gonna play I’m gonna have the band play when the band plays. I want everybody to bow down and worship. Everybody’s about 10s of 1000 people bound down in worship. So for three people Shadrach Meshach, and Abednego Chad mag Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego they replaced some of the other kings councillors. And he commanded his army to heat the furnace one seven times more than it was going to be heated when you begin to take a stand for good and for God, do not be surprised when the world loses the natural mind. He said, Is he just I’m gonna hit. I’m off. I’m gonna throw the same hour into Mr. By burning fire friend, but we’re gonna heat this thing seven times hotter than it’s ever been heated, because we’re gonna kill you seven times better than anybody’s ever been killed, and I’m gonna burn you seven times more crispy than anybody’s ever been burned. And that furnace is just raging. And it’s shaken from this heat. And here’s the Scripture says, the most mighty men. The king commanded the most mighty men that was, I mean, they were strong as me. Okay, anyway, most mighty men that were in his army. And the scripture says, the most mighty men through Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego into the midst into the middle of the burning fiery furnace, and said the flame of the fire was so hot, that it slew the man that threw them into the fire. And then it says, And Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego fell down bound in the midst of the fire. And then Nebuchadnezzar rose up in haste. He said, Did we throw three men into the midst of the fire? Because men said, Yes, we did. Okay. He said, I see for loose did not we throw free men bound into the midst of the fire. I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire. And the form of the fourth is like unto the Son of God. That’s called fire that burned some folks and don’t burn on the phone. God is not bound by the rules because he makes the room. Gods powerful in trouble with you Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego thrown into the midst of a furnace. There was seven times hotter, there’s ever been heated and they did not die.

Here’s what the scripture says. It says, Nebuchadnezzar went to the mouth of the furnace said, come for Oh, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Come forth, come here. And it says these men, what says when they fell down, they were fell down bound in their hat in their hose in their coats and the other guy. I mean, they tied him up and threw him in there so fast. They didn’t have time to take off their hat or their coat. It says they came it said they came forth in the midst of the fire. And their eyebrows weren’t since neither were the head of their Harrison. Neither had the smell of fire passed upon them. God is protective and protective in trouble with you. There have been so many times God has protected me from I remember one time God was protecting me from my stupidity. I mean, I’m sure there are a bunch of times but there’s one time in particular. So I used to be a motorcycle rider. But I wasn’t just a motorcycle rider. I was a motorcycle idiot.

Like when I got on a motorcycle and I lost my motorcycle being on a motorcycle brought about in me for some strange reason. temporary insanity. And I didn’t like I get on a motorcycle. I didn’t know how to ride a motorcycle slow because it’ll go fast. Why would you want to ride slow? To go fast. I was the guy who would ride 100 miles an hour 120 miles an hour. No helmet. I told you why your judgment. I told you I confess you’re still judging me. No, I was dumb as a box of rocks on a motorcycle. And I remember one time I was flying home as I was on my couch Saki 650 I got from my brother Rob. I was this is back in the 80s I am lying. I’m flying down Route 30 in Crown Point, Indiana At nighttime, this woman pulls out of Kmart parking lot. And I was going so fast. And I had crashed bars on the outside. I was going so fast. She didn’t see me until she got out there and then she froze and stopped. And I’m sure you don’t have a heart is the lean a motorcycle, you’re going 100 miles an hour. And I’m like, I’m about to die. I’m about to die. I was ready. And somehow or another, I missed that car. And I got that motorcycle home. I parked that thing.

And he can move you out of my way. Like he moved Goliath at a David’s way. I am not confused. And I know the all the people from a lot of people from the past who declared that God was dead, they are now dead dead and God is still alive because he’s powerful in trouble with you. And I ain’t worried about anything at all. Why? There’s nothing to worry about God’s power. God’s in trouble with me. And guess what? God is in trouble with me. And I’m not in trouble with God because when I’m with him, there’s no trouble. Hmm depends on who you in trouble depends on who you wit. God is our refuge in our strength, a very present help in trouble. Okay, present God is present. In trouble with you guess what, here’s the scripture says. Scripture says, Be careful for nothing.

No, it says it says Rejoice in the Lord always. Rejoice in the Lord always. And again I say rejoice. Now the prefix remains to do again right. So rejoice means to have joy again have joy in the Lord when always And then it says and again I say rejoice or and again I say again have joy. So if we’re just gonna say and again, instead of putting the RE prefix there we’d say, again, have joy in the Lord always. And again, I say again have joy. What’s that sound like to you? That sounds like to me that as a follower of Christ, I am to live in a state of perpetual joyfulness. Did I say that you can, but you don’t know what I’m going through? No, that’s not the problem. The problem is not that I don’t know what you’re going through. If you are in Christ, the problem is you don’t know who you’re going through with. That’s the real problem. Because the Scripture says, the very next verse rejoicing Lord all way and again, I say, rejoice. The very next verse says, Let your moderation be known to all men for the Lord has had that verse confused me for so long, because it says, Let your moderation moderation, self control. What does self control have to do with joy? Everything that says, if you say, man, what do you mean? It says, Let your moderation be known unto all men what to say next for the Lord is at hand. So you say, I’m telling me to be joyful, and nobody’s telling me how to be joyful. You the way you’d be joyful is by being willful, willfully what? Let your moderation your self control, be known and Amen.

The Lord is at hand, was that mean? People are watching you. So make sure you maintain an awareness of the closeness of the Lord. So I’m using my willfulness, not not using my self control to make myself forged through, I’m using my self control, to make sure I am more aware of the presence of the LORD than I am the presence of my circumstance. You’re tracking? Because when I’m more aware of the presence of the Lord, that I am the presence of my circumstance, the Lord becomes big and circumstance becomes small. So I’m using my self control my willfulness to be willfully aware of the presence of the Lord. Okay, let your moderation be unknown and Amen. The Lord has a hand. God is God is positive and trouble with you is personal trouble with you is protected in trouble with you. He’s powerful and trouble with you. He’s president trouble with you. God is our refuge in our strength, a very present help in trouble therefore, will not we fear though the earth be removed and the mountains be carried into the middle of the sea. God is peaceful, in trouble with you. By the way, peaceful means full of peace. Sounds peaceful. You don’t have anything to worry about. I don’t have anything to worry about. I can only imagine when I read the story, the confusion of David when he came down to see the battle, when he came down to bring his brothers who were soldiers food, and he came down and nobody was fighting, everybody was hiding.

Like, as soon as David heard Goliath breathing out threatenings he knew Goliath couldn’t win. Because here’s what the Goliath was doing. He was cursing the armies of Israel. Do you remember what God said to Abram? Back in Genesis chapter 12. Lord God said to Abram, Get thee out of the house, I mean out of your country, from your kindred from your father’s house, go to the land that I will show you and I will make you a great nation. And I will bless those that bless you and curse those that curse you. And in you, all the families that are shall be blessed. I will bless those who bless you curse those who curse you. As soon as David heard the lie of cursing the armies of God, he knew Goliath couldn’t win. And Goliath said, You come to me with stone sticks and stones. And you’re just the lab. I’m going to tear you limb from limb, he said, You come to me with sword with a sword and a shield, but I come to you in the name of the Lord our God. And today he will deliver you into my hand and I will take your head from you and feed your carcass to the birds of the air.

And then after they told him when he gets he went back and said, turn to somebody and said, What’s the man we’ll get to this? They asked you again three times. David got confirmation on his payment. Why? In the Hebrew culture at the mouth of two or three witnesses Let everything be established. David said, I will fight this man, because God is in this trouble with me. I am never in anything by myself. If I go through losing my job or losing my business, God’s in trouble with me. I go through losing a loved one, God is in trouble with me. If I go through losing my health, God is in trouble with me. If I have him, I have everything I need. God is peaceful, in trouble with me. story about Jesus being asleep on the pillow. It’s they they went and shook him and woke him say, Master Kerrisdale not that we perish. And here’s what it says. Jesus looked up at the wind and said peace and he looked down at the waves and said, Be still and actually says he rebuked the wind and said unto the sea. In that interesting, he rebuked the wind, but he didn’t rebuke the sea. He rebuked the wind, but he said unto the CPSP.

So why don’t you remove the wind? Because in Scripture, when does a picture false doctrine and false doctrine has to be reviewed. But the waves are a picture of false doubt. God doesn’t rebuke us for our doubt. He just speaks to our doubt. Why? Because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. When I say the same thing to me that God has already said to me about my situation. I have faith in that situation, I don’t have doubt. See, I’ve got good news for you. If you have trusted in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God is in trouble with you. You’re never in trouble by yourself. If you’ve not trusted in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, you are in trouble with God. And when you stand before him, the Great White Throne Judgment, as the scripture lays it out, you are going to be in big trouble. And at that point, it will be too late. If you don’t know Jesus, my recommendation to you is that you receive Him as your Savior, this whole I’m not talking about giving your life to Jesus, whatever that means. Because salvation is not a gift, I give God. Salvation is a gift God gave me. Scripture clearly states the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Salvation is not a gift me giving my life to Jesus. I mean, I know a lot of preachers say that today, but that’s very opposite of what God says.
