Stay Away From Aluminum If You Don't Want Dementia

I'm at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, and I just paid $7.72 for a bottle of water.

That's painful enough. 😂

But what caught my attention was the aluminum bottle.

I've personally made the decision to reduce my everyday exposure to aluminum wherever it's practical, whether we're talking about cookware, food containers, or other products I use regularly.

There's been a debate for decades about aluminum exposure and Alzheimer's disease. Aluminum was investigated as a possible contributor beginning in the 1960s and 1970s, but current research has not established aluminum as a cause of Alzheimer's disease.

So I'm not going to tell you that drinking water from an aluminum bottle causes dementia. That hasn't been proven.

My personal philosophy is simpler:

If I can easily reduce an exposure I don't think I need, I'll do it.

I'm also paying more attention than ever to what's in my food, how it's processed, what it's packaged in, and what I'm using to cook it.

You don't have to agree with every decision I make.

Do your research.

Ask questions.

Pay attention to what you're putting in and around your body.

And make the decisions that make sense for you.
