What Happened To The BMWs?
What happened to BMW design?
I'm looking at a newer BMW 7 Series, and I'm just not feeling it.
From the back, I think it looks like a Toyota.
The trunk looks about two feet long, and somewhere along the way, BMW went from building cars that immediately looked distinctive to designs that, to me, blend in with everything else on the road.
And when we're talking about a car that can cost over $100,000, I want something that LOOKS special.
Maybe I'm just old-school.
I want somebody to build a genuinely cool-looking car again.
Something distinctive.
Something you recognize immediately.
Something that makes you turn around and look at it after you park.
Teslas get part of the way there for me, but I'm still waiting.
Of course, design is completely subjective.
So what do you think?
Has modern BMW styling gotten better or worse?
