Montgomery County Tractor Show Box The Chain
Montgomery County Tractor Show: Box The Chain
Here's another competition from the Montgomery County Antique Tractor Show in Tennessee.
This one's called Box The Chain.
The idea is pretty simple.
They connect a chain to the tractor, and then the driver has to maneuver back and forth to get the entire chain laid inside the box.
Then they time it.
Sounds easy, right?
Not necessarily. 😂
You've got an old tractor, a long chain dragging behind you, a relatively small target, and you have to figure out exactly how to position that tractor so the chain ends up where it's supposed to go.
Back up.
Pull forward.
Turn.
Reposition.
And try to get that entire chain inside the box as quickly as possible.
It's part tractor driving, part strategy, and part knowing exactly how your machine is going to respond.
I love finding competitions like this at old tractor shows.
You get to see these vintage machines doing something instead of simply sitting there on display.
Box The Chain.
Let's see who can do it the fastest.
